Chiropractic Care

Here at Healthline, we strive to provide the most effective chiropractic care by utilizing a variety of hands-on techniques as well as instrument assisted adjustments. All of the techniques used are safe and effective for individuals of all ages.

Therapeutic Massage and Trigger Point Therapy

Therapeutic massage is a perfect complement to chiropractic care. It helps the body prepare for an adjustment and makes chiropractic more effective. Massage helps to decrease muscle tension and increase the body’s circulation to help you heal.

Our clinic has three certified and licensed massage therapists. Massage is a covered benefit for auto accident cases, out-of-state Blue Cross and Blue Cross Messa insured.

FDA approved Low Level Laser Therapy by Erchonia

We are proud to say our office is a low level laser provider by Erchonia which is the ONLY 3LT that has been proven to decrease pain by 66% in a double-blind clinical study.  The study used 100 patients complaining of neck & shoulder pain.  Half of the patients were treated with a placebo red LED light (commonly marketed by others as a low level or cold laser) and the other half with the only FDA approved Erchonia laser.  The treatment group beat the placebo group in marked pain relief by 66%!

**In a nutshell, Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) causes soft (skin, muscle, nerve & connective) tissues to heal faster!  Specifically, LLLT works at the cellular level.  Human cells produce a chemical known as ATP (adenosine tri-phosphate) to run the body and heal tissue.  All of our body's activities result from the use of ATP, it's like gasoline to a car.  LLLT stimulates a micro-structure within the cells called the mitochondria (commonly referred as the "powerhouse" because it produces ATP) to produce slightly higher amounts of ATP.  Thus, with more ATP at the cell level tissues heal faster, therefore relief comes quicker.

As is true of many alternative therapies, you may receive alternative benefits to being treated, in addition to what your goals were originally.  This is because the ATP being produced is "systemic", meaning although we're focusing the laser on a particular area, the ATP is ultimately being sent throughout your entire body.  The list of symptoms responding to LLLT is growing, and more valid research is being performed on a daily basis.  Examples of the conditions treated by LLLT are as follows:

  • Acute and Chronic Pain
  • Neuropathy
  • Neck & Back Pain
  • Headaches & Migraines
  • Neck & Back Pain
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Nerve & Disc Pain
  • Carpal Tunnel
  • Sciatica
  • Sports Injuries
  • Scars and Scar tissue
  • Wound Healing

Number of Treatments needed:  4-12 treatments are necessary to begin the healing process of tissue, although in some cases relief can begin immediately. Treatment would be 1x per day, per area and 5x per week to see results. Multiple areas of complaint may be treated. This treatment cycle may need to be repeated, and eventually spread out.

Individual LLLT treatment of 4-7 minutes                             $30.00 per area of complaint

Physiotherapy

-Cervical and Lumblar Traction – This therapy creates a gentle separation of the spinal vertebrae to increase circulation, joint mobility and helps to reduce a spinal disc bulge or herniation.

-Cryotherapy uses ice to reduce inflammation and aid in decreasing pain.

-Moist heat therapy promotes the healing process by increasing circulation and decreasing pain.

-Intermittent Intersegmental Traction aids in the reduction of fixations in the spine and helps to break up adhesions in the soft tissue structures.

-Corrective exercises which help to stabilize weakened areas of the spine and create balance in the body.

Surface EMG

This examination evaluates how your nervous system is functioning and gives your doctor additional information on specific areas of your spine.

IDD Therapy

A non-invasive and non-surgical treatment for severe neck and back pain that consists of spinal decompression. This helps to align the joints of the spine, decrease the pressure inside the discs and decrease nerve root irritation. This therapy may be covered by: Auto injury, Medicare, Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO, Blue Cross Messa, and Out-of-State Blue Cross.

COX Flexion-Distraction

A doctor assisted therapy which allows the doctor to gently apply a specific force to aid in the reduction of a spinal disc bulge or herniation and restore proper motion of specific spinal segments.

Orthotics and Heel Lifts - Build a Solid Foundation

Foot Levelers custom computer generated orthotic inserts help to stabilize and correct improper foot positioning allowing proper motion of all joints associated with walking and running by supporting the body's foundation. Corrective orthotics take  stress away from the joints allowing you to heal faster, feel better, and move more efficiently. In cases where there is a leg length inequality, heel lifts will be recommended to accommodate for the difference.  Your feet do not have to hurt for them to be the source of imbalance or pain somewhere else in your body.
